Dozens of Canberrans have braved the cold for the annual Winter Solstice Nude Charity Swim in Lake Burley Griffin.

The event raises money for Lifeline, and was first organised by Ian Lindeman in 2017.

Five years on, Ian’s brother Peter was one of the swimmers to bare all and brave the chilly temperatures this morning.

“It’s all for a good cause and in memory of my brother, so I’ve got to do it,” Mr Lindeman said.

“About 2 degrees outside and 6 in the water, yes it’s just as cold as normal.”
