Canberrans from a variety of backgrounds have been named as part of THIS Kings Birthday Honours List.

Former Australian Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers has been appointed an officer of the Order of Australia. – He spent many years in Canberra, but these days is in Sweden.

A.C.T. Dance Legend Dr ElizabethCameron Dalman also received an honour… along with Chris Faulks, Neville Tomkins, several Canberra professors and retired Brigadier Peter John Evans..

One particular stand-out:

64 year old Mark Howden was appointed Companion of the Order of Australia…

He was 1 of 14 people to receive the highest honour this year,

for his work on the global response to climate and agriculture.
