Canberrans now free to travel to all of Sydney

Canberra will have open borders with all of NSW from 3 o’clock this afternoon.

Travel restrictions with the Cumberland local government will be removed – meaning Canberrans can once again travel freely to all of NSW without having to quarantine when they get home.

Anyone currently in quarantine in the ACT after returning from the western Sydney area will be free to leave.

Northern Beaches and Canterbury Bankstown are also being removed from the list of areas deemed high risk for visiting hospitals and aged care.
