Canberrans are being urged to prepare for future storm events following yesterday’s wild weather.

Emergency services received almost 100 calls for help after yesterday’s storm.

The majority of damage was caused by falling trees and leaking roofs, while around 13 hundred homes lost power.

Across the border, the Queanbeyan SES responded to almost 20 calls for assistance.

Although hail had been predicted for the ACT, none was reported.
