A permanent Centre for Disease Control will be built in Canberra
It follows yesterday’s report into the government’s response involving the Covid Pandemic.
The report recommended a series of reforms across the public sector including an uplift in emergency management.
A Canberra based C.D.C. was a critical recommendation, with the Federal Government confirming it has allocated more than 250-million dollars to launch a national agency in Canberra by January 2026.
A location is yet to be finalised.
