It seems Canberrans are not ready to hang up on the 3G network.
The 3G network is in the process of being shut-off.
Some telcos have already stopped using it, while others are still under pressure to ensure everyone can stay connected, particulary the ability to use the triple zero emergency number.
But, there are thousands of mobile phones that are not 4G compatible – which also means, 5G is out of reach to some.
Telstra and Ooptus are reminding A.C.T. locals to check the status of their device
TPG Vodafone has already closed its 3G operation.
