Canberra’s road safety initiative has received a 10-million dollar upgrade but  one particular advocate says,  that’s not enough.

It’s a huge financial boost to improve  road safety for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians as announced in the recent A.C.T. budget.

It’s part of a Road Safety Program and will go towards 18 projects specifically chosen to address road safety concerns.

While funding’s been welcomed,  advocate  PEDAL POWER says more is needed.

It says Northbourne Avenue is in desperate need of safety improvement.

Hindmarsh Drive from Woden to Fyshwick is another area…

But the listed project work will see about 30 jobs being funded,  and work delivered by June next year.
