Capitals Injuries Hit the Ruef

The Capitals injury crisis deepens as they look to bounce back from their loss to Adelaide.

Mikaela Ruef rolled her ankle in yesterday’s loss to the Lightning, she’s now racing the clock to be fit, following her absence from training.

Centre Marianna Tolo is already carrying a foot injury and played beyond her restricted minutes when Ruef came off the court, but is expected to be fit for Sunday’s round 2 game.

Kelsey Griffin is likely to make her return from a back injury, with the status of Tahlia Tupaea and Britt Smart still unknown for Sunday’s first game of a back-to-back.
