The 40 kilometre an hour zone in the city centre is paying dividends for the government’s coffers.
It’s been revealed that almost $40 million in fines have been paid by drivers in less than two years.
Nearly 4,000 infringements a month have been detected by cameras on Northbourne Avenue and Barry Drive in the first few months of this year.
