Changes To Childcare Quarantine Rules

Share:

Close contacts in the early child care sector will no longer need to quarantine under changes from the ACT Government.

Instead they will now only be required to return a negative rapid antigen test to return, this aligns with similar guidelines in place for primary and secondary schools.

The announcement was made by the Acting Chief Health Officer Dr Vanessa Johnston during a live stream on the ACT Health facebook page.

The government had taken a more conservative approach for children in these settings given those aged zero to five were not yet eligible to be vaccinated.
