Climate Projects Get Funding

A total of $155,000 will go towards funding six grassroots climate projects in Canberra.

As part of the ACT government’s Community Zero Emissions Grants, climate tool-kits and gas-free kitchens are among the six government-funded projects.

The Territory’s Minister for Water, Energy and Emissions reduction says the grants will see the community inspired and empower Canberrans to take climate action at a grassroots level.

Minister Shane Rattenbury says the 2020s is the “critical decade” to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
