The Royal Australian Mint is partnering with a specialist merchandise company to protect our coins.
Scalping of limited edition items from concert tickets to sneakers has been an issue for years… and now even our coins are being affected.
This week the mint announced a partnership with EQL a company that helps some of the biggest luxury brands in the world launch limited releases
The move comes after an increase in online resellers buying out runs of collectible coins for resale.
CEO of the Mint Leigh Gordon says since the death of Queen Elizabeth they have seen a big uptick in demand for their products unfortunately leading to an increase in bad actors.
