It seems Canberra has experienced its coldest JUNE on record, since the 1960’s.

The cold snaps across the A.C.T. through-out the month of June are regarded as very unusual – but not unprecedented.

Overnight Temperatures fell into negative territory – the days did not feel that warm.

It’s been revealed, the last time Canberra had five nights in a row of below minus 5, was back in 1965. It was just 8 years ago, it got down to minus 7

The cold snaps in June are one thing: ahead of July, which is often considered the coldest month for the A.C.T.
