There are further calls for reform within a Canberra based bureaucracy because of its failings in Tribunal claims.

Those within COMCARE want an overhaul of the system.. on how they handle complex claims.

Last week, it was revealed, 3 in 5 Comcare claims that end up before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, get overturned –

But one lawyer says those making a claim are so broken from injury in the workplace, they’re not capable of making submissions themselves…. suggesting COMCARE isn’t making the right decision in the first place.

A.C.T. Senator DAVID POCOCK agrees, saying reform would reduce litigation and improve outcomes.
