Some cross-border residents say they’ve been left in the dark over the ACT’s shifting border restrictions.

Yesterday, police wrongfully turned away some people who were trying to use Sutton Road to get to regional areas in the Southern Tablelands.

Police say they have since corrected the road closure at Pialligo Avenue – with locals from Wamboin and Bywong now able to move through.

Acting NSW Premier John Barilaro says the ACT may have to consider a permit system for towns surrounding the capital.
