There’s renewed hope REX could return to Canberra, IF it gets purchased by the Federal Government.

Analysts have indicated – The Prime Minister’s keen to save the embattled airline, ahead of the upcoming Federal Election, to avoid embarrassment.

Analyst JUSTIN WASTNAGE   from Griffith University  –  says if REX is nationalised, such a move could see the airline returning to Canberra, as long as the Government updates the fleet of aircraft.

A new owner’s needed by the end of June.
