A man and a woman have been charged with a number of driving offences after allegedly failing to stop for police last night.

Officers were conducting a mobile patrol at an apartment complex in Reid when the couple allegedly fled to their vehicle.

Police say the car had been reported stolen from Braddon on December 20.

The couple then allegedly fled down Limestone Avenue before police successfully deployed stop sticks on Cowper Street.

A 33-year-old man from Holt and a 25-year-old woman from Phillip were arrested after a short foot chase and are due to face court tomorrow.
