Court for man accused of Canberra Airport shooting

A man has made a brief appearance in the ACT Magistrates court charged over the weekend shooting incident at Canberra Airport.

The 63 year old did not apply for bail when he appeared via videolink.

No one was hurt but flights were delayed as hundreds of passengers ran for their lives, when the shooting took place early Sunday afternoon.

It’s the first time in history that a shooting incident like this has occurred at an Australian airport

The alleged gunman’s motive remains a mystery. Bullet holes remained in glass windows on Monday morning.

The accused is expected to re-appear in court in three weeks when the case is again mentioned.
