The ACT Government has extended support for renters doing it tough due to COVID-19.

Transitional measures will remain in place for an extra three months – until April 30 next year.

The measures have protected COVID-19 impacted tenants from being evicted, while allowing other tenants to end their leases early without penalty.

Attorney-General Shane Rattenbury says the announcement will give tenants and landlords greater certainty this Christmas.
