Culture at a government department is being questioned following allegations in Senate Estimates.
Greens Senator Peter Whish-Wilson was questioning Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority Chief Executive Lisa Croft, when the questions turned to a staff Christmas Party in 20-21.
Where it’s alleged a male staff member urinated on other staff members, Ms Croft says she wasn’t aware of a urination incident taking place at the event and was only aware of it in a private capacity.
Agriculture Minister Murray Watt is seeking an urgent briefing on the matter, it’s understood the senior staff member has since left the department.
