Cuttagee Bridge set to be Demolished

One of the five famous wooden bridges linking Wallaga Lake to Tathra is set to be demolished, disregarding public sentiment.

The Bega Valley Shire Council have announced the end of the Cuttagee Bridge, despite it being listed on the local heritage register and the decision having undergone no community consultation.

The 113-metre long landmark is due to replaced by a double-lane concrete bridge.

A community petition against the decision has already been signed by more than seven and a half thousand people.
