Rugby Union great-turned politician David Pocock has been successful in his bid for an ACT Federal Senate Seat.

After weeks of counting, the AEC has this morning declared the results for the ACT.

Mr Pocock becomes the first independent Senator for the ACT since Federation… And joins incumbent Katy Gallagher.

The result will be formally declared tomorrow morning in Civic.
