The A.C.T. Government won’t make any apology for charging a land holder more than 19-thousand dollars for a 15 year old tax liability.

The home owner says he received a three thousand dollar bill for unpaid land taxes, for 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Once penalties are added, the bill comes to more than 19,000 dollars.

It’s also been revealed, similar bills have been sent to other Canberra homeowners, suggesting there’s been some kind of audit… taking the Government 17 years to notice an issue that should’ve been raised immediately.
