Canberra’s Doctors have vowed more industrial action as their wage dispute intensifies.

The Territory government continues to oppose an application by the doctors union to the Fair Work commission.

The union wants the Commission to act as an independent arbitrator in the on-going wage dispute which has seen rallies and stop work action by doctors, in the hope of changing the Government’s position.

The matter’s been going on since 2022.

The Canberra based arm of the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation says continued Government opposition, means its members have no choice but to increase industrial action.
