Dog owners in Canberra have been urged to make sure their pets are vaccinated after an outbreak of the highly contagious parvo-virus in Queanbeyan.
The warning follows an outbreak of the virus at the Queanbeyan dog pound… resulting in 21 dogs being put down.
It’s understood, the disease came to the facility through a surrended dog.
Two weeks have been set aside for the pound to stay closed – but it could take longer.
