A reminder – double demerits and other penalties remain in effect until midnight tonight.

Double Demerits were brought in, for the public holiday long weekend…. not just in the A.C.T. but also across New South Wales.

The usual crackdown applies – police looking for speeding, use of a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seatbelt or not wearing a helmet while riding a bike.

And here in the A.C.T. – Additional points may be given, pending other driving offences, including if it’s committed in a school zone, even if students are not in class today. (Monday)
