The A.C.T. has lost its TRIPLE A credit rating.
The territory’s slower than expected budget recovery from the pandemic is the leading factor in a decision by ratings agency S&P Global – to drop the rating to DOUBLE A PLUS.
Chief Minister ANDREW BARR remains optimistic, saying the A.C.T.’s economy remains strong, while admitting there were delayed budget repairs after the pandemic.
