The ACT is getting tough on low-range drink drivers.
The Territory will follow other jurisdictions, with a low-range drink driver facing an automatic six-month license suspension, and a fine of $800.
Transport Minister Chris Steel says the new legislation would help free up court time, and prevent police from attending for low-range offences.
Under the current legislation, low range first time offenders can argue for leniency in court.
