The number of Canberrans risking lives behind the wheel, has dramatically increased in the last 12 months.

ACT crime statistics show 102 people were issued fines for speeding in the first quarter of this year, compared to just 21 between January and March last year.

It’s the highest number of speeding infringements issued in a three-month period since late 2021.
