There’s been a huge increase in the number of people in the A.C.T. Driving while using a mobile phone.
The detections follow the introduction of new technology –
Three mobile cameras and two fixed devices are now operating….
One in Haydon Drive has recorded the highest number of people, caught in the act.
A device on Flemmington Road returned the 2nd highest number of offences…
– and THAT was closely followed by Horse Park Drive.
Motorists are currently escaping a penalty as the Territory Government is sending out warning notices to those caught… while fines won’t be issued until sometime next year.
