Yet another reminder for Canberrans who use E-Bikes about the A.C.T.’s road rules.

The reminder follows new figures showing a huge upturn in the use of E-bikes… but also, an increase in accidents.

From road rules, about who’s got the right of way, to the performance of the bike itself, there are still many regulations that need to be considered.

Each State and territory has its own rules…

here in the A.C.T. – E-Bikes are treated as a type of bicycle, and are subject to the same road rules… and must have a motor that’s 250 watts OR LESS…

The speed limit for E-bikes is at no more than 25km/h
