Drug and Drunk tests are being rolled out for E-Scooter riders in the A.C.T.

The reaction tests are being rolled out for the summer – just in time for SummerNats.

The move’s in a bid to avoid a repeat of the “anti-social” riding behaviour recorded during the previous event earlier this year.

Officials say – E-scooter usage in the ACT typically spikes by between 20-30 per cent during the summer months

They also say –  One in five injured riders treated by Canberra Health Services are rated as “clinically intoxicated”.
