There’s been a surprise resurgence in the uptake of E.V. Cars across the A.C.T.
For a while, it seemed electric vehicles were “On the Nose” with hybrid cars proving to be a popular purchase.
But new figures now show an increase in the sale of E.V.’s.
Data from the Australian Automobile Assiciation shows 21 percent of all new car purchases in the AC.T. Across the 2nd quarter of 2025, were battery electric vehicles… that’s up 13 percent on figures for the 1st quarter.
961 E.V.’s were bought in Canberra in the 2nd quarter…
The NRMA has responded, saying the A.C.T. had consistently led the way on electric vehicles.
