Canberra public are bemoaning the state of Canberra’s public parklands after an extraordinary season of grass growth.

Despite numerous notifications sent to Canberra Connect’s “Fix My Street”, grass growth is still out of control in a number of areas, with Deakin locals wading through hip high grass at the children’s play ground Anticline.

Transport Canberra and City Services mowing co-ordinator Jody Friend says government mowers have already completed 6000 extra hectares of mowing this year.
