The Federal Government has refused to intervene in a planned restructure of the C.S.I.R.O which will cost jobs.
The union representing the country’s main Science Laboratory believes 700 people will be out of a job as a result of the exercise.
The C.S.I.R.O. Staff Association has called on Industry and Science Minister ED HUSIC to intervene.. but he’s refused – his spokesman says it’s inappropriate for him to get involved… and that staffing decisions were a matter for management.
