Firearm, drugs and cash seized in Crace

A 23 year old Crace man has faced court on drug and firearms charges after a five month investigation into his alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

In January this year, detectives started investigating after receiving information that the man was involved in drug trafficking and in possession of prohibited weapons.

Around 4.45am yesterday, police executed a search warrant at the man’s Crace home, where they found a foldable pistol, approximately 6 kilos of a substance believed to be cannabis, approximately 500-dollars cash suspected to be the proceeds of crime, and fireworks.

ACT Policing continues to target high‑risk criminal activity that endangers the community, particularly where illegal weapons and drug trafficking are involved.

Anyone who has information about the manufacture, distribution or sale of illicit substances in the community is urged to contact Crime Stoppers via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
