Three helicopters have arrived in the ACT to assist in firefighting efforts to protect Canberra this bushfire season.

They’ll remain at the ACTRFS helicopter base in Hume until at least late March, depending on weather conditions.

The helicopters can be deployed from the base within 15 minutes and will also be available to assist surrounding regions.

With the arrival of these helicopters, Canberrans are being reminded to Be Emergency Ready and to complete their Survival Plan:
