Footy Fight Ends in Canberra Jail Cell

The NRL Integrity Unit is today expected to begin an inverstigation into two rugby league players – arrested over an incident near a Canberra nightclub.

Latrell Mitchell and the Raiders’ Jack Wighton are alleged to have engaged in a fight in the city early yesterday morning…

Mitchell was charged with resisting arrest. Wighton was charged with fighting in a public place. They then spent the rest of Sunday morning in a police cell.

The pair is expected to face the A.C.T. Magistrates court in a fortnight.
