A family violence offender who made multiple violent threats to his ex-partner has been allowed to walk free.
A 49 year old man who made violent threats, including sending images of bullets and a suspected pipe-bomb, and trying to hit her with a car has been released from jail.
The man pleaded guilty to 10 charges including aggravated intentional threat to inflict grievous bodily harm, threatening to capture or distribute intimate images of another person and contravening a family violence order after last week facing the ACT Magistrates Court
The victim had previously described fleeing the home they lived in, telling the court – she was instantly homeless and living in constant fear.
He was handed a two and a half year intensive correction order for his crimes, and had spent eight months behind bars on remand.
