Transport Canberra has confirmed – travel on Canberra’s buses and trams will be FREE starting next month.

The decision to go ahead with free public transport comes as the 3G Network is shut down at the end of this month.

But there’s a period of time before a new payment system can be installed on public transport.

So from next month…. through to November… travel on Canberra’s public transport will be free.

In the meantime, the A.C.T. Government’s urging those with MyWay cards to ensure they’re registered, to guarantee they get any cash back from a residual balance.
