An environmental professor from the A-N-U is writing to the Federal Environment Minister, calling for a road set to be built near the airport to be scrapped.
Friends of Grasslands has joined the Conservation Council in looking to overturn the development approval for the road, over fears it could decimate the Canberra Earless Dragon population even further.
The Airport says it will halt development, and deliver a suitable environmental plan.
But, Professor Jamie Pittock says it may only be doing that, because of external pressure.
