Two people have escaped with their lives after a house fire in Gordon.
The blaze began just before 8:30 Tuesday morning, near a car and quickly spread to their home in Hickenbotham street.
The mother and son were treated for smoke inhalation.
The house has now been deemed “UNFIT TO LIVE IN”.
The cause of the blaze remains a mystery.
It’s Canberra’s third house-fire in the past fortnight.
