A number of ACT service providers will be impacted on the National Day of Mourning on the 22nd of September, which includes a memorial service, and a number of Canberra landmarks to be lit in purple.
Schools will be closed, public transport will work off a Sunday time table, there will be no changes to bin collection services, Access Canberra service centres will be closed, with those who have bookings to be rescheduled.
The government says the Housing ACT Shop front, Child and Family Centres and Child Development Service Centre will all be closed.
Floriade will continue to run as normal, with the village centre at the Arboretum also open for those heading to one of Canberra’s most iconic tourist destinations.
