A former Home Affairs employee has escaped jail time, after being sentenced in court over the repeated unauthorised access to personal records

The National Anti-Corruption Commission recently published a statement, revealing that the individual had been sentenced to a 14 month suspended jail term.. on the condition of good behaviour for the next two years.

The person was accused of abusing public office, unauthorised disclosure of official information, and unauthorised access to Home Affairs records.

It’s understood, it related to herself, family, friends, associates, and tenants over an extended period of time.

The person is the 6th conviction in relation to matters, overseen by the anti-corruption commission since July last year.
