There’s fresh hope of a deal being finalised in coming weeks to create Canberra’s A-League MENS side.

Concerns had been raised after a delay in talks, and how the Canberra franchise had been leaving things a little late to get things up and running.

but A-League Commissioner NICK GARCIA says Canberra WILL have a Mens club, for the start of next season.

Last year, Canberra and Auckland were flagged as the locations for the preferred expansion cities for the competition.
