There’s more fallout over staffing issues at Canberra’s Centenary Hospital.

The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children has come under intense pressure over recent weeks due to midwifery staffing shortages.

The pressure resulted in the hospital declaring two internal emergencies over the past few weeks.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has admitted, two “code yellows” were activated – including one just a week ago.

But she’s dismissed the code declarations – saying they happen on a regular basis… across Canberra Health Services.
