A driver has died following a crash on Friday night on the Hume Highway.
According to New South Wales Police, about 5.50pm, Friday 15 November 2024, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Bowning, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District arrived at the scene and found a vehicle had left the roadway, hit and tree and was well alight.
A passing private water tanker worked to extinguish the flame; however, the car was completely destroyed.
The driver died at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to contact The Hume Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
