I.V. Bag Supplies

Concerns remain over a shortage of I.V. Bags at Canberra Hospitals.

Federal Health Minister MARK BUTLER says hospitals have enough – but admits, the health system is not out of the woods yet over a possible shortage.

Australia secured an extra 22-million I.V. Bags for the next six months… but the minister says numbers need to be monitored closely.

Canberra area hospitals and other health outlets are being encouraged to use the bags judiciously and cautiously….

Mr Buter says in general, Australia’s in a much better position than a few months ago.
