A Queanbeyan man’s been sentenced to atleast a decade behind bars over the stabbing murder of a man in Canberra.
20 year old KENAN DOWDEN-CARLISLE pleaded guilty to the killing, which occurred in December 2021 – after two days of drinking and smoking cannabis, as well as consuming Xanax tablets.
Described as “a bender” – Carlisle believed a stranger stole personal belongings – followed by a fight in Bible lane, near a pub… when the stabbing occurred.
He was already on bail for crimes PRIOR to the stabbing.
Carlisle won’t be eligible for parole until 2032.
