A new fly-over is a step closer at the Lanyon Drive interchange on the Monaro highway
A $70-million contract has now been awarded… with A.C.T. City Services minister CHRIS STEELE saying – “these types of projects support the territory’s population growth and improve safety and efficiency”.
The project will see a new southbound flyover, an upgrade of the highway road pavement, a widened bridge on the northbound carriageway over Dog Trap Creek…. and the removal of traffic lights at the Alexander Maconochie Centre, among others.
One slight delay – Two gas mains need to be relocated before the work can officially begin.. and it should take 3 years to complete.
